STAINLESS STEEL
For Zinc Die Casting
The major cause of ring
failure is the high heat required in die casting manufacturing.
420 Stainless is a high heat resistant steel and will improve
ring life eight to ten times more efficiently than cast alloy
rings.

All rings are heat treated (R/C48-55)
and tempered to afford the best possible
life in the die casting process. They are
precision ground and held within high
tolerances. Your satisfaction is
guaranteed or we'll replace the rings
at no charge.
Recommended groove width is +.010
over the width of your required size. If
deterioration of plunger groove width
occurs from extended use, width can be
increased an additional .030 and still use
your existing standard ring size.
QUANTITY DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE
Special sizes available upon request-- 100 piece minimum order on special orders.
420 Stainless Steel is specifically engineered for Zinc die casting machines.
Our rings are made from special mill runs to Quad's exacting specifications,
which ensures a dense fine grain structure, eliminating porosity, brittle hard
spots, and soft areas.
It provides the ultimate strength, hardness, and ductility, as well as heat
and corrosion resistance. It is excellent for low coefficiency of friction,
compatibility with mating material, and high modulus of elasticity.
The uniform tension and resiliency of our rings, combined with their long
wearing, high heat resistance characteristics, allows for a complete consistent
compression load to be placed on our rings. Sleeve and gooseneck replacement is
greatly reduced.
